MUSIC MAVENS ON CLOUD NINETEEN
Company adds three new hires By Susanne Ault 12/13/2004
DVD production and postproduction house Cloud Nineteen has bolstered its ranks with three new hires. Danny O'Donoghue, Bray Merritt and Dave Greenberg are coming aboard the year-old company as staff composers and music producers. All will report to Cloud Nineteen partner and director of audio Michael Tucker. The audio department provides clients with a range of multi-track, multi-channel audio options including 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby Digital and DTS. Staffers also arrange original scores, handle sound design and mix audio to picture. DVD bonus features, such as director and actor commentaries, also are pieced together at Cloud Nineteen. "Over the past year, we've accomplished our anticipated growth and realize the benefit that this audio expansion offers our clients," said Tucker. "Cloud Nineteen's new team brings a wealth of music production, songwriting, engineering and mixing knowledge to the company." Co-founder of Mad Notes Production, O'Donoghue previously inked a songwriting deal with EMI Music Publishing. His current specialization is fitting music for feature film DVD titles. Merritt is versed in MIDI programming and sequencing after serving two years as studio manager for Wright International Records and Entertainment. A guitar composer, Greenberg has played on projects for such major labels as EMI Records, Hollywood Records, Virgin Records and Sony Music. Based in Los Angeles, Cloud Nineteen has such clients as Lions Gate Films and Blockbuster Video. |
